Overview
Neung Kyu Lee is a partner at the firm and Chair of the Litigation Practice Group, and his practice focuses on litigation related to product liability disputes, construction/real estate disputes, healthcare practice, and insolvency.
Mr. Lee began his legal career as a judge in the Seoul District Court. After leaving the court, Mr. Lee joined Kim & Chang where he specialized in general civil disputes, criminal matters, and labor/employment disputes for about 15 years. Before joining KL Partners, he founded his own law firm, Neung Kyu Lee Law Office.
In his distinguished career spanning over two decades, Mr. Lee has handled many high-profile and complex cases, including defending foreign and domestic carmakers in the sudden unintended acceleration accidents when the issue was first widely reported in 2000; defending the baby powder manufacturer in the product liability case involving asbestos fiber found in baby powder; and defending the hospital in a case involving misdiagnosis of child deformity; and unfair competition case involving poaching of a competitor’s employee.
